  • Tab. Xykaa Rapid (Paracetamol 650 mg) – one tablet every 4 times a day for 3 days.
  • Gel Powergesic 2X (Diclofenac 2.32% w/w; Methylsalicilate; Menthol) – apply locally 3 times a day for 3 days.

Osteoarthritis Swollen joints, reduced movement, grating sensation on movement and relevant radiological evidence
Osteoporosis Generalised discomfort, radiological evidence of reduced bone density and T score of -2.5 SD or below
Gout Joint swelling, reddish discolouration and localised tenderness along with uric acid crystals in joint aspirate
Osteomyelitis Fever associated with localised swelling, pain on deep palpation and reduced movement of affected bone

Chikungunya Fever, muscle pain, rash, joint swelling and positive laboratory evidence
Dengue High grade fever with chills and positive smear test
Filariasis Dry cough associated with groin pain, leg swellings. This is more common in endemic areas.
Leptospirosis High grade fever, muscle ache, jaundice, red eyes, history of close association with animals and birds or prolonged exposure to contaminated water
Lyme disease Fever, circular skin rash (erythema migrans), arthralgia, fatigue, joint pains, history of tick bites
Influenza (common flu) High fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle pains, headache and tiredness
Swine flu High fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle pains, headache and tiredness and positive H1N1 swab test

Rheumatic fever Fever, skin rash, palpitations, swollen lymph nodes, cardiac murmur and positive throat swab for haemolytic streptococci
Psoriasis Localised redness of skin, dry and flaky skin with silvery scales
Fibromyalgia Generalised pain, fatigue or low mood but without any clear other pathology
